Brand Positioning.

A brand earns its shelf by knowing exactly what it stands for. Through discovery, validation and commercial readiness we sharpen the story, the pricing and the presentation until the fit with the retailer is undeniable.

The problem

A beautiful brand can still be un-buyable.

Founders model a retail price, but rarely the landed economics behind it. A prestige retailer takes its margin, the trade takes its terms, and a brand that looked healthy at the till has nothing left by the time it reaches the shelf.

The story has the same trouble. A buyer sees the same clean, luxury, founder-led pitch a hundred times a season. A brand that cannot say what it is, and why it belongs, in a line the buyer can repeat down the corridor is invisible, however good the product.

How Valérie works

Made ready for the buyer, not the mirror.

Valérie begins with an honest audit: where the brand actually stands, what it is worth, and where it can credibly belong. The story is sharpened until it survives a buyer repeating it, and the price is built as an architecture, one that holds the margin the trade expects in each market and currency it will sell in.

That is the difference between a brand that is admired and one that is ranged. Le Rouge Français, a plant-based pigment pioneer, was positioned for prestige and recognised at the Beautyworld Middle East Awards. Thirty-five years of watching what buyers actually say yes to is what makes the read reliable.

What this covers.

  • 01

    Brand audit and positioning

An honest read of where the brand stands and where it can credibly belong, before a single door is asked for, so you are not selling a story the shelf will not buy.

  • 02

    Story and differentiation

The founding story and the real difference, told the way a buyer needs to hear them: clear, credible, and distinct enough to survive being repeated down the buying office.

  • 03

    Pricing, margin and revenue

A price architecture that holds its own on the shelf the brand wants and still leaves the margin the trade expects, modelled market by market rather than set once and hoped over.

  • 04

    Recognition and reputation

Profile raised where buyers actually look, from award recommendation and support to the right rooms at the right moments in the calendar.
